Employee Q&A Spotlight: Meet Blake
Blake Fahl, Equipment Sales
This month, we’re introducing Blake Fahl, a familiar face who recently returned to Versa-Drill’s sales department after gaining valuable experience across the drilling industry. With more than 20 years connected to Versa-Drill, he brings deep knowledge, fresh perspective, and a genuine passion for helping the company grow.
Q: What brought you back to Versa-Drill?
Blake: I spent 20 years here before exploring other companies and even a competitor. That time away exposed me to new processes and management styles. When Versa-Drill went through leadership changes and reached out, the opportunity felt right. I’ve built so many great relationships here — it really does feel like coming home.
Q: How did working elsewhere shape your approach now?
Blake: It gave me perspective. You see what other companies do well and what doesn’t work. Coming back, you appreciate our strengths and also notice where we can improve. It’s made me a better contributor.
Q: What energizes you most about your role?
Blake: Growth. We’re expanding our models, our services, and our market reach. Developing new products is exciting — it takes teamwork, and I enjoy being part of that momentum.
Q: What’s your philosophy when it comes to sales and customer relationships?
Blake: Honesty and listening. Customers can tell instantly if you’re not being genuine. Sometimes the best service you can offer is telling someone a product isn’t the right fit. Long-term trust matters more than any one sale.
Q: What might people be surprised to learn about you?
Blake: I’m an outdoors guy — motorcycles, dirt bikes, mountain bikes… anything on two wheels. And I’m a big animal lover.
Q: What’s the best career advice you’ve received?
Blake: Meet as many people as possible. Relationships will take you further than anything else. And always give a firm handshake — I stand by that one.
Q: Anything you’re especially proud of?
Blake: Being a strong representative of the company. In sales, you’re often the face of the brand, and I take that responsibility seriously.
We’re proud to have Blake back on the Versa-Drill team — and excited for everything he’s helping build next. His leadership, experience, and strategic mindset contribute directly to our long-term vision. As we continue expanding our product offerings and capabilities, Blake will play a key role in driving our success.
